Washington Township, located in Avon, IN provides essential services including township assistance, parks and recreation, education, community engagement, prevention, emergency response and preparedness, programming, and cemetery care.

Washington Township was organized on December 29, 1823. As of the 2019 Census, we had a population of nearly 50,000, or about 32 percent of the total population in Hendricks County.

Washington Township is governed by the a three-member elected Township Board and managed daily by the elected Trustee. The current Trustee is Ryan Miller.
